Currently, we only offer Ulster Irish, with other dialects coming soon

How do the dialects in Irish differ to one another?

While there are some differences in vocabulary and grammar, the main difference is pronunciation

Which form of spelling is used in each lesson?

We use standardised Irish for spelling, even though it may not perfectly match the pronunciation of the dialect you are learning. We do this for two reasons:

  1. This form of spelling is what learners are most likely to encounter on a daily basis
  2. There is no agreed-upon spelling for each dialect
Is there a mobile version?
